Journaling Prompts To Get You Started
Planners and journals tend to go hand in hand rather nicely. I'm a huge advocate of journaling though I sometimes sit down, pen in hand, and don't have a clue where to start or what to write.
Here are some of my favorite journaling prompts that I resort back to when I'm stuck:
5 things I'm grateful for
Something I'm doing for myself
What's inspiring me
Short term goals
Long term goals
People, things, and places I want to focus on
Achievements for the day/week/month
My 'person' this week
My favorite moment this week
Books to read this month
Shows/Movies to watch this month
Favorite quote lately and why
A life lesson I've learned recently
Life lately - a recap of what's been going on
Things to remember
A Playlist - List of music I'm listening to regularly
Journaling is an amazing tool for so many reasons! It helps to ground you, be creative, practice self-awareness, allows you to focus on what matters, work through your thoughts and feelings in a safe space, notice your personal habits and behaviors, set and achieve goals, and problem-solve through life. If you haven't tried journaling before, give it a shot and see how it can positively impact your day-to-day. There are no rules to it. It's totally up to you and what you make of it!
