Even though Halloween is over (just yesterday), I'm still currently working through my own spooky season TBR. The horror/thriller/suspense genre isn't one I've delved into a lot but I do love the thrill of scaring myself just a little and it's always good to try something new. This month I've read Our House by Louise Caldish and The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine. I'm currently reading The Woman in the Window by, A.J Finn. and I'm really into it so far.
I've. been hearing so many great things about The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E Schwab so I picked it up this past weekend from the bookstore. Can't wait to get into that one.
Obsessed with:
Salads. I'm actually laughing while I type that. But, I have a newfound love for salads and especially making homemade dressings. Head to my personal IG account @emilee_laura where I share some of my favorite recipes.
Pilates. I recently discovered and signed up for The Pilates Class and am loving it. One of my goals for the year was to sign up for a fitness class and when COVID hit, I thought that goal would have to be thrown out the window. I've done yoga for so many years and always looked for that extra push that really worked my muscles better and I think pilates is where it's at.
I've been binge-watching shows like Schitt's Creek and Emily in Paris on Netflix. I think it's pretty normal to seek out light-hearted humor and feel-good content during these uneasy times and these two shows are the perfect thing to watch to wind down at the end of a stressful day.
Taking care of my skin more with my facial steamer. It's such a calming little ritual I do 1-2 times a week. I wanted something that would open and clean out my pores, make my skin products more effective, and give me more moisturization for my super dry skin. This little guy does the trick nicely. THIS is the one I own.
