Set the Tone: Date Night at Home + a FREEBIE

There’s something about the shift toward cooler months that makes staying in feel a little more romantic. This latest Set the Tone collage was inspired by the kind of date nights I want more of as summer fades: dim lighting, music playing in the background, a bottle of wine opened, something good to eat, and a game spread across the table. Nothing particularly elaborate or over the top, just an evening made to feel special because we decided it would be.
That idea sits at the heart of Set the Tone. I’ve always believed that intentional living isn’t necessarily about doing more; it’s about paying closer attention to the atmosphere we create around the things we’re already doing. Date night doesn’t have to mean reservations, money spent, and elaborate plans. Sometimes setting the tone is as simple as lighting the good candle, changing into something that makes you feel beautiful, putting your phones away, pouring two glasses, and turning an ordinary evening at home into a ritual.
From Moodboard to Memory Keeping
Over the past little while, I’ve been creating more of these collages as visual representations of the moods, rituals, spaces, and versions of life that are inspiring me, and I've absolutely loved making them.
And naturally, I started wanting them inside my planner.
There’s something I love about taking inspiration that usually lives digitally—saved to Pinterest boards, camera rolls, and folders—and bringing it back into the physical world. Printed small, tucked between planner pages, layered into a journal spread, or slipped behind a dashboard, the collage becomes more than inspiration.

The Collage Collection: Ready to Print
I gathered some of my recent collages together into one downloadable file, formatted to make them easy to print at home and incorporate into your own planner or journal. Print the full collection, cut out the ones that speak to you, and use them however you like: as journal ephemera, planner decor, vision-board pieces, dashboard accents, or simply little visual reminders of the kind of life you want to create.
I especially love the idea of choosing one at the beginning of a month or season and letting it become, not a checklist or another goal to accomplish, but a feeling to return to.
Maybe it's more dinners around the table. More evenings spent reading. More beautiful everyday rituals. More attention paid to what you wear, what you listen to, what you cook, and how your home feels when the sun goes down.
For me, planning has never just been about appointments and to-do lists. It’s about deciding what deserves space in my life, and then creating the conditions for more of it.
Visualize it. Set the tone. Live it.
