A Quick Tip - #2

Today I'm coming at you with Quick Tip #2

Real Talk: Even though my business is planning and designing planning inserts... I still have phases and moments where I suck at planning. There are certainly busy days where I look at the clock only to realize it's 8 p.m. and I haven't written one thing down in my planner. But... I know I'm not the only one.

I recently challenged myself to start daily planning to see if it would have a positive impact on my productivity and I asked this wonderful community for a few tips as I've only ever weekly planned before. The best tip that I came across was to start the day with your planner. It's so easy to roll over and grab your phone, scroll through for far too long, and then jump into work right away. At least for me, anyways.

Now I try to start my day with intention. I make a cup of coffee and sit down with my planner right away, no matter how busy my workday may be. It maybe only takes 10 minutes or so, but planning out my day first thing sets a productive and positive tone. I'm more aware of the tasks I want to accomplish that day, and more focused on how I'm using my time.

Do you have a designated time of day that you sit down to plan? What works best for you? Let me know.
